Reviving Our Riparian Ecosystems
Community Planting Workshop
Saturday, October 24, 2026
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
St. Norbert Arts Centre
Join us for a hands-on riparian restoration workshop focused on restoring healthy ecosystems and creating habitat for birds, pollinators, and other wildlife.
Led by Applied Ecologist Chris Penner, participants will learn about the importance of riparian areas — the transition zones between land and water — and take part in practical restoration work to improve the ecological health of the site.
Together, we’ll carry out remediation work and plant native species that help stabilize soil, support biodiversity, and provide essential food and habitat for local birds, pollinators, and other wildlife.
